Beam of jack

Photos by Stefanie

I've been back and and forth to Finland for a quick visit. I also managed to shoot a few features for which I took the opportunity to wear my Beam of jack jacket. The jacket is actually the same model as seen here before and since there has been a few email and messages about it, I though it could use a little mention. I found it in a concept store in Bangkok a few months ago and naturally had to buy it in both colors, that's all I know.

What I wore in the rain

Rain. What a great day to wear paper... But the bag performed quite surprisingly well, and I even managed to stay on my feet for the whole 14 hour workday in those burberry monster heels.

What I wore to Unique

As I've been spending most of the days on the run, I took full advantage of the day when I only had one important show to attend. I got to dress up a bit and after seeing my friend Charlie May's AW12 presentation the other day I knew exactly what to wear. I paired my white ensemble with a new Moxham clutch that Madelene Moxham herself claimed to have been inspired by me. Now that if anything is a humbling enough reason for the clutch to be the cherry on the cake for my special day outfit.

Thank you Shini for the impeccable photography

What I wore on day one

 h&m jacket
old jeans
jimmy choo shoes
dants gloves

I wore a sweet mix of blue and green on day one of LFW. I had to keep it somewhat simple whilst running around shooting backstage. I've been wanting to wear white gloves for ages, inspired by the golfer boyfriend of course. Turns out a pair of whites were bit hard to find but these blue ones turned out even better.

Little matryoshka doll

The much anticipated collection launched this morning, and sold out in minutes. Besides the jersay dress form my earlier post, this balloon dress was my favorite pick. I would go as far as saying this is probably the best high-street collaboration to date.

LFW kick off

It's finally time! or should I say already.. London fashion week is starting today, which makes it a year ago since I ran in to Mr. Alexader Wang at a party here in London. In my overly excited state, I have no idea what we spoke about but I do remember I was wearing head to toe Wang, score.

Over the next week I will be doing most of my coverage for a Finnish site Lily, with streetstyle, behind the scenes posts and daily outfits. This time I will also be writing in English! So for more pictures head over to Lily!

I will also be doing a whole bunch of backstage shooting for an online boutique Avenue32 and more streetstyle for Ebay's new fashion blog.

So a whole lot to keep up with! If you want even more, there is always Twitter...

February layered

zara coat & old leather jacket

I have to highfive myself for squeezing a turtleneck, buttondown shirt, coat and leatherjacket in to one outfit, that excludes the hidden layers. Other than that, I'm giving my new Diesel jeans a little extra love, as mentioned before they were my favorite of the new collection I wore in a few posts back.

I've been getting stuff together for fashion week that kicks off tomorrow, I'll keep you guys updated!

Oh Mary!

Master of prints, Mary Katrantzou is launching her much anticipated collection for Topshop on Friday the 17th. I felt obligated to some field posing and hair flipping to introduce a few favorite pieces from the collaboration. My picks would have to be this stretchy dress and another lampshade shaped beauty that I'm saving for a later post..

Diesel's new denim

Many of you might remember me taking about the re-launch of Diesel, now it's time to take a closer look at their completely renewed denim. The 'Fit your attitude' range has been stripped down to 6 styles that come in a various choice of washes. The simplified designs include 6 different fits, here is my take on the new collection.

''Super-slim-fit with a super-skinny leg, features a higher yoke to flatter the rear female form''

The skinny Grupee has to be my favorite pick and might just become my all time favorite jeans. The dark blue will be replacing many of my black skinnys. I Wore it with a neoprene top and a highlighter neon clutch to tie together the scuba look.

''The perfect bootcut leg with a slim fit, features sightly higher back pockets and a regular rise''

It was so much fun playing with a pair of bootcut jeans again, made me realize how easy this fit really is. With a slight 70's influence I paired them with some layered florals, a new top and a three years old blazer surprisingly found each other in my messy closet.

''Slim jeans designed to fit slightly wider at the knees and higher at the back''

This cute light blue pair gave me the idea to wear soft pastels from head to toenails. With a straight leg, these fall in to a category of a mix between a skinny fit and boyfriend jeans, a totally new style to work my spring wardrobe around.

''Boyfriend-style jeans with a relaxed fit, lower crotch and slightly tapered leg''

Such perfect cool jeans, I don't know what I like more; the chilled fit or the dirty wash. I wore them with heels of course and some tailored pieces. Is it just me or does boyfriend jeans always look best with a simple button-down shirt and pointy heels?

''70's inspired fit with chino style pockets and with a raw unfinished hem''

I just had to pick the white wash for these 70's jeans, how good is the raw-cut hem? I wanted a pale allover look and paired it with a textured knit and some trashed leather. An oversized shirt would have looked amazing but for now the weather required a knit. These will be a favorite for summer.

''Fifties inspired high wasted jeans, with a straight leg fit and higher back pockets''

How could I not wear a cropped top with these high wasted jeans, I just need to stick to my diet and wait for summer to experiment more on that look. I was thinking of wearing red lips and something more dressed up with these retro inspired jeans, but instead I just kept it simple with a favorite sporty look.

The new permanently re-designed range will be replacing all other previous Diesel styles and is now available worldwide. Playing with the new collection made me realize how good it can be to sometimes try other styles than the good old skinny. Which one is your favorite?
