July snapshots

A little roundup of what has been keeping me busy in London lately..

Graduating - Last words about that as I realize I’ve been nagging about a bit. First time in three year that I actually had (and took) the time to show my dear family my favorite places in London. On the day I wore a Mary Katrantzou x Topshop dress.
Olympics - Even without really following the scheme, I keep finding myself in the middle of it all.
The new house - My big and what I would like to think as life-changing project that I’ve taken on is not all fun, mostly quite exciting of course, but how should I put it.. not that easy.

I’ll be back to normal posting tomorrow as I’m heading to Finland for a week or so!

Olympic fever

So we finally had the Olympics kick off, while I was already mentally preparing myself for the crazyness all the shut roads would cause, I surprisingly learned that London had turned in to a ghost town. Maybe it’s because everyone is clustering up for the action, or that I have been strongly avoiding the crowds. Either way I need to tourist up a bit - not just because of the once in a life time thing, but because anyone would sooner or later have to admit that it’s a little bit cool having the Games in you hometown.

The perfect print shirt

PRADA shoes

A closer look at the shirt I wore in my previous post. Although I usually keep the prints somewhat on the low, I’m never the one to say no to a silky button-down, especially one that makes getting dressed a no-brainer. Worn with my perfectly beautiful Prada sandals that hurt like hell <3.

My recommendations at Diesel

On Friday I stopped by Diesel in Covent Garden to celebrate the newly relaunched flagship store. It was great seeing the brand new store with some pieces from their AW collection that just dropped. I was asked to pick a few favorite pieces from the new collection (notice the fancy tags). I chose the gorgeous denim gilet, a pair of printed silk shorts - that also comes with a matching top and the black and white cape coat.

My picks can be found in the Covent Garden store so make sure to stop by the store next time you are around!

I wore THREE FLOOR shirt, DIESEL jeans, PRADA shoes, KAREN LONDON bracelet and SKYWATCH watch.

The Supers

KAREN LONDON rings

Yesterday I dressed up as a superhero, or more like with the theme in mind as Kurt Geiger launched it’s ‘Starheel and The Supers’ campaign where from my pick was the colorful Iris. I thought the whole idea was funny, bearing in mind I recently picked up this vintage pair in Tenerife and the truth that I’ve been dreaming about Phillip Lim’s comic themed pre-fall collection ever since it landed on Style.com ages ago. So comic-con feet and bum for you this time, I’m sure to allow this knit to live up to it’s full potential very soon.

Subtly perforated

Wearing some new favorites, mostly taking about my jacket and accessories. Like I said in my previous post, I’m feeling the urge to invest in all things J.W Anderson and I don’t think there is an end to that feeling anytime soon. Although my jewelry collection grows by the day, I tend to stick to some pieces I form slightly emotional bonds with, right now I refuse to part with my new Skywatch and this set of rings by Karen London.

Now I’m off to celebrate my graduation, yes - I’m officially not a student anymore!

Stars in my eyes

CK top
RAY-BAN sunnies

The sales have been harder than ever to ignore, I’m so weak. Also apparently I’ve moved from hoarding shoes to jackets? this should only be temporary.

First preview of my Nelly collection!

Hello from Sweden, I’m here shooting the looks for the 5 inch and up x Nelly collection! Yes, it’s finally happening. It’s been an amazing day and I’m happy beyond words! Today my collection was modeled by the beautiful Julianna Sharkey, ah what a star she is. Tomorrow it’s more shooting, but for now a little taste of what’s to come, I’m dying to show you the rest!!!!

Launch scheduled take place in the end of August, look book will be out soon!

I quite like you Maje

 MAJE aw12 jacket
LNA t-shirt
GINA TRICOT jeans
FASHIONOLOGY & TUSK rings
BEBE shoes

I’ve grown quite fond of the French brand Maje recently. I recon seeing some pieces popping up in spreads, and me walking by their South Molton street store in London feeling curious and tempted but never did I have the time. It was not until my recent Corsica trip that I innocently enough wandered in to the store just to find that most of the items were right up my alley. Although tempted to buy a whole lot more, I left the store with only one piece, this jacket which is like mix of a leather jacket and a, well, blanket-like poncho. It’s like it was made for me.. how did they know?

Still keeping it sporty

WEEKDAY coat
AMERICAN APPAREL shirt
ALEXANDER WANG shoes

I would like to say that I bought these shorts for the gym and accidentally happened to transform them in to my everyday wardrobe but that would be lying. I got these because they looked a bit like a pair of Wang shorts, these to be exact. That’s the good thing about combining your workout wardrobe with the rest of your closet, you would still have use of these when they after few wears (or one) gets tiring. Although these with trainers and a hoodie... so much for ‘sports luxe.’
